RapidX260-0.5-266

The Resonetics RapidX260-0.5-266 Laser Micromachining System is designed to be a flexible laser micromachining system, capable of machining a wide variety of materials including plastic, glass, ceramics and metals.

The RapidX260 is an ideal development tool for MEMs, microfluidics and general purpose microfabrication.

The system utilizes a DPSS (diode-pumped solid-state) laser operating at 266nm, 0.5W at 35kHz.

As an option, the DPSS laser can be upgraded to a laser wavelength of 355nm by adding an optional 355nm harmonic generator module. In addition, the optical beam delivery optics, including optional XY Scanner, need to swapped to accommodate the wavelength change.

The system utilizes a variable beam expander (2X to 8X) to control the spot size and target fluence, providing the user with maximum flexibility to machine a wide variety of materials. The novel beam shaping aperture helps to focus and to “shape” the spot (circular, square, rectangular) for machining straight features as well as tightens the focus to provide greater depth of field, necessary for machining at greater depth.

For ease of operation, the system includes a standard CAD/CAM conversion software to convert CAD drawings directly to machine code.

The system has a number of options including a motorized z stage, on-line power meter, vacuum chuck, XY scan head and 355nm optical upgrade.
