Medical Device Manufacturing
Resonetics provides innovative outsourcing solutions for medical device OEMs who design and manufacture products used primarily in minimally invasive procedures. With a world class medical fabrication facility structured around ISO 13485 quality system, Resonetics is the preferred prototype and volume contract manufacturing partner for balloon catheters, filters, stents, wires, cables, coils, small scale disposables and implants to serves the following applications:
1. Ophthalmology
2. Molecular Diagnostics
3. Coronary and Peripheral Stents, including thrombus management systems
4. Stroke including thrombus management systems
5. Atrial Fibrillation
6. Ear Nose Throat
7. Orthopedics
8. Diabetes
9. Heart Valves
10 Neurostimulation
11. Pulmonary
12. Intravascular imaging
13.Surgical tools
Resonetics has the world’s largest capacity of UV-based laser systems in the US (+50), especially high power 193nm excimer lasers, critical for machining medical polymers such as nylon, Teflon, PEEK, PMMA, polyurethane, bioabsorbables, polymide, PET with no melting or residual debris.
Resonetics core competency is high precision (as small as 1 micron) laser micromachining of polymers, glass, ceramics and thin metals for 2-D (flat and tubular) and 3-D geometries. In addition to laser micromachining, Resonetics provides value-added manufacturing services to help its OEM partners meet their outsourcing needs in a cost-effective manner.
Resonetics offers a "Fast Track to Micromachining Services" program to accelerate the design cycle, affording device engineers a vehicle to quickly prototype multiple designs in a very short time period. This service is critical for VC-backed start ups as well as established Tier 1 device manufacturers.
A major strategic objective of the corporation is to drive down manufacturing costs through the use of innovative processes and automation. As minimally invasive procedures become more commonplace, automation of every step of the manufacturing process is critical through the use of robotics, cassette handlers, auto part loaders and automated inspection. The corporation's large staff of engineering and application resources generates significant horsepower to meet the most demanding application.
