Laser Systems Division
Resonetics Laser Systems Division designs and manufactures turnkey laser micromachining systems for the Scientific and Industrial markets.
In the Scientific field, the Laser System Division manufacturers the excimer laser-based RapidX250 system for MEMs, microfluidic glass machining and general purpose micro fabrication. The company manufactures the RESOlution Series, a Geoscience Laser Ablation system for elemental analysis in the geosciences or forensic field. The RapidX260 system is a diode-pumped solid-state laser-based (DPSS) system for MEMs and general purpose microfabrication.
In the Industrial field, the Laser System Division manufactures the CO2 laser-based Laser Router to drill vias in ceramic circuit boards for the microwave industry. The Laser Router is also used to laser machine plastic catheters and strip wires in the medical device industry.
The Excimer-based OLED system is a laser ablation system for the OLED displays. The DPSS-based Laser Cutting systems are used to laser cut, singulate or degate polymer devices. The SOLAR systems are used for via drilling of glass substrates for the solar power market.
In addition to the standard products, the Laser Systems Division offers Laser System Integration Services to integrate a laser source (diode-pumped solid state, excimer, CO2, fiber, picoseconds and femtosecond lasers) into a turnkey workstation for customer application. Market applications include semiconductor packaging, microphone and speakers, flexible circuit machining, medical devices, among others.
