Laser Micromachining Division
Resonetics is the largest contract service provider of laser-micromachined plastics components in the world.
Resonetics provides fast track prototyping, pilot production and volume manufacturing services.
The Laser Micromachining Division focuses on four (4) business sectors:
Laser Micromachining is defined as a fabrication technique to drill, skive, strip, mill, cut plastics, ceramics, glass and thin metals with dimensions and tolerances approaching 1 micron (0.00004").
The Medical Device Components and Assembly Manufac-turing group has three (3) clean room facilities with +50 laser micromachining systems for the processing of plastic-based medical devices such as catheters, filters and balloons in the cardiovascular, cardiac rhythm management, peripheral, diabetes management, neurostimulation, dental and occular implant markets, among others.
The Semiconductor OEM components are specialty ceramic and silicon-based components for Fab equipment OEMs.
Laser ablation of polyimide and other organic materials from contact pads is the prime application in the Flexible Circuits group.
A multitude of applications reside in the Industrial group such as ink jet printer components, x-ray apertures, ruby-based orifices and leak testing components.
